Illustrator

I am a commission-based illustrator who creates custom artwork tailored to the needs of each client. I work with individuals seeking unique wildlife or pet portraits, as well as with scientists and academics on scientific illustrations for research and educational projects. My work supports initiatives related to ecology, science communication and much more.

About Me

I earned my undergraduate degree in Wildlife Ecology and my Master’s degree in Entomology from the University of Maine in Orono, where I am now pursuing a PhD in Biological Sciences. I work in the Applied Genetics and Genomics Lab at the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Diagnostic and Research Laboratory, focusing on vector-borne disease systems, particularly the ecology of diseases transmitted by ticks and mosquitoes. With extensive experience in both fieldwork and laboratory research, I study arthropods in their natural habitats and under the microscope.

I aim to combine my expertise in insect taxonomy and advanced entomology training with my passion for art, pursuing a career in scientific illustration for academic journals. In addition to my research, I have completed commissioned projects ranging from realistic pet and wildlife portraits to graphical abstracts for clients in academia and more.
